AMAZING DAY YESTERDAY IN PALATINE! THANK YOU TO ST. EMILY’S ANGEL GUILD AND TO EACH PERSON WHO HELPED US AND BROUGHT FOOD AND CLOTHING!!

Thank you to every person who joined us, brought food or clothing, and helped in any way because our friends loved the day and I know their hearts were lifted as I talked to so many friends yesterday, and there was joy! A very special thank you to the wonderful women from St. Emily’s Angel Guild who hosted our luncheon. Wow! You provided an overflowing delicious feast, and your generous donations of delicious food, along with your love that you brought, meant so much to everyone.

Some of the St. Emily’s women are also our faithful volunteers in our clothing room, and my heart continues to be deeply touched by the way they personally care for each of our friends who are struggling with homelessness. I heard again yesterday how a few of the women purchased specific clothing items for individuals because they knew their needs. These women get to know each person’s name and their needs, and it is a picture of God’s love! I see that all over our room when we are together, the conversations and friendships that are formed, and that kind of personal love is so meaningful, the care that even happens outside of our gatherings when relationships have been formed, and I think of how God knows our name and knows what we need and I know and believe this is God flowing His love through people. It’s beautiful!
